A Toast to A!

Through the past year you have all read of the up and downs of my life, most recently with the arrival of a lost friend A. Tomorrow A will be leaving for the military, I wont be able to see her for quite a while and since she has so recently come back to my life it's going to be difficult. So instead of my ramblings on this rainy Monday I am going to toast my best friend.

A is a good person, one of the best I know. For what seems to be forever now she has been in my life, picking up the pieces and dropping them for me all at the same time. She and I have been through thick and thin this past year, ironically our love lives fell apart with weeks of each other and as we pieced them back together we lost touch but that doesn't mean we forgot the other.

I could go on forever about the past with A, the good, bad, and down right ridiculous. But one thing remains the same, she will forever be the only person who gets me, the one I can call and she will know whats wrong before I tell her. She has been the glue who has held me together for so long, and she will forever be in my life regardless of the past.

So tomorrow I will pile in the car with two friends and A's fiance and bring her to the airport, we'll watch her walk through the gate and wave goodbye. I am semi angry about this whole Airforce business, I frankly don't want them to have her but I know this will be good for her and she wants it. So I will do regardless of my feelings because that girl I know, would do anything for me.
